My Haunted House: 2019 Edition

Come take a tour of my haunted abode this season! I always love to share photos of how I spooked my halls for the season to inspire you and your decorating. I have a fairly small house and not enough room sometimes to both store and display my ghoulish goodies but I try to do the best with the space I have.

My favorite addition this year is my Old Time Pottery Halloween Tree! I have always wanted to make a Halloween tree and they teamed up with me this year to make my Halloween decorating dream a reality. I could not have been more proud or excited about working with them and how it turned out.

DIY No Sew Toilet Paper Roll Pumpkins

I LOVE simple, easy and inexpensive Halloween crafts. When I saw these toilet paper fabric pumpkins sprouting up on Pinterest I knew I had to give them a try because it screamed simple, easy and inexpensive!

I also  am *sadly* not much of a sewer. I attempted to sew in the past in my high school home economics class which resulted in my teacher always having to re-do my work for me. Maybe some day I’ll try again, but for now I’ll enjoy the no sew lifestyle.

Is it simply too hot to go to the pumpkin patch? It sure is here in Oklahoma! Fear not Halloween friends, these pumpkins will not spoil in the heat and are MOSTLY all weather permitting. Enjoy pumpkins year-round and keep reading for steps to make the most durable gourd of all!

DIY Frankenstein Flower Pots

I love to fill my pots and planters around the front porch with mums as soon as they are in stock in the fall. Sometimes, this is a little premature because it’s still sweltering in Oklahoma in September and my poor little mums quickly turn into crunchy nuggets instead of feathery, bushy, fall delights.

To help pass the time so that I plant my mums at the right time, I’ve decided to create some cute Frankenstein pots to adorn my spooky porch. Last year my shared creation was my mesh Halloween wreath (I feel like I made three of them…) and this year I’ve decided to make a bunch of these jolly monsters for my mom, Grandma, and friends!

You truly do not need to be an expert painter to create a Frankenstein pot and you can make them however you want – he or she is your monster masterpiece!

If you’d like some inspiration on how to make one, keep on reading!

Creepy Baby Doll Head Candelabra

I have finally got to moving on my first Halloween craft project of the season! I wanted to do this last year but time escaped me and I couldn’t quite find exactly what I wanted at the time.

If you’re into the creepy baby doll theme, this DIY/craft inspiration is for you! I have been captivated by the creepy doll theme and wanted to take it to a whole new level by attaching doll heads to a candelabra to create a decorative art piece to haunt my home.

At Home Halloween 2019 Sneak Peak!

It’s officially five months until the best day ever – Halloween! At Home is making all Halloween obsessed folks happy lately by stocking Halloween decor early – well before all other retailers and just in time to help us Halloween heads have something to look forward to during the sweltering summer months.

I ventured over to my local At Home this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to find several aisles full of Halloween joy. My absolute favorite find are these positively ghoulish skeleton gnomes. I collect gnomes, and once I saw these little guys I knew my collection would not be complete without them.

Keep reading if you’d like to see some snapshots of what you might be seeing at your local At Home store soon! Happy Haunting!

I figured now would be a great time to revisit some of my favorite posts, recipes and DIYs to keep the spirit of Halloween alive during this chilly and bleak transition into spring.

The candy has been passed out, the pumpkins have been carved, the decorations are coming down and our frightfully fun costume creations limply hang lifeless in the closet – this is enough to spark all of the sad feelings that Halloween has certainly passed and we have to wait another year to revel in it’s delights once again. My 2018 Monster Mash Bash!

Monster Mash Bash

This year’s Monster Mash Bash was a hit and a scary good time was had by all! I appreciated everyone’s compliments towards my creepy castle – some guests assumed it was just to liven up the party but I had to divulge, this creepy castle gets creeped out on Sept. 1 every year. The only way I know to enjoy Halloween decor and hoarding habits is to display it sooner and longer!

Keep reading to see some photos of my guests and their costumes and to get some inspiration for your upcoming or next Halloween shindig.

My 2018 Outdoor Haunt

One of my favorite things about the Halloween season is driving around and seeing everyone’s haunted houses, spooky stoops, and grinning gourds. I decided (despite the unseasonably warm temperature) to haunt the front of my house that last week in September and wanted to share with you how it turned out!
