DIY Whimsical Grapevine Halloween Wreath

Hey! I’m baaaack! And in a new house for 2025! Since we moved this spring, I decided it was an ideal time to refresh the Halloween look for my giant front porch. This called for a new wreath. My old wreath was crafted six years ago and prior to children, so I had a lot of time to go slow on it – but this time I wanted an inexpensive, cute and easy wreath that didn’t require a lot of new materials with a whimsical, fun theme. Keep on reading to get inspired and see the final product and all the fun ways you can customize a grapevine wreath for your porch this season.

Upcycled Halloween Planters

This past spring, I decided to put lots of beautiful planted flowers in old paint cans I recycled and decorated from my garage, which then of course inspired me to create a wonderland land of hand painted Halloween planters for the fall.

I decided to get started painting my goulish containers now so that I will have an abundance of pots for mums when the time comes to plant them ( because it is too darn hot to plant them in this Oklahoma summer heat).

The great thing about upcycling planters from containers is that you could also use smaller containers for indoor plants or herbs to decorate with and display now! I recommend using tin cans, paint cans, yogurt containers, etc.
