Halloween Scrapbook Collage Serving Tray

I have been holding on a to a booklet gifted to me by a friend of amazing art work by Austin Pardun. This printed booklet had their most popular work from 2017-2018 and I have always enjoyed their work and that vintage Halloween feeling that is prominently captured in their designs. I always wanted to find the best way to display these works, and I ultimately settled on incorporating them into a scrapbook-style collage onto a serving tray.

If you have some cool Halloween paper, cards, posters, etc you’ve always wanted to share and display – a decorative serving tray might also be the answer to your decorating needs as well!

DIY Whimsical Grapevine Halloween Wreath

Hey! I’m baaaack! And in a new house for 2025! Since we moved this spring, I decided it was an ideal time to refresh the Halloween look for my giant front porch. This called for a new wreath. My old wreath was crafted six years ago and prior to children, so I had a lot of time to go slow on it – but this time I wanted an inexpensive, cute and easy wreath that didn’t require a lot of new materials with a whimsical, fun theme. Keep on reading to get inspired and see the final product and all the fun ways you can customize a grapevine wreath for your porch this season.

“Spookley the Square Pumpkin” Shape Match Game

I adore the book “The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin!” It is the cutest little tale about how wonderful it is to embrace the qualities that make you unique from everyone else, and they might even be the qualities needed to save the day!

If your child loves this book as much as our family does, then you can keep the story going with a fun little DIY “Spookley’s Pumpkin Patch Shape Match” game.

Autumn Leaves Cotton Swab Painting for Toddlers

The leaves may not quite be turning yet, but I sense an urge in the air for the season to begin to change soon. As fall begins to approach, you can chat about the changing season with your little one and make your very own dreamy fall scene with simple painted autumn trees! This activity is simple and fun – and requires very little materials, many of which you might have laying around your home. This activity is also an excellent way to strengthen fine motor skills by using a cotton swab to dab foliage onto the paper.

A Voyage to Spirit Halloween

Ahoy, spooky shoppers! The telltale sign that Halloween season has officially arrived at the harbor is when Spirit Halloween stores officially open!

Nothing is creepier than visiting the building where an abandoned Toys”R”Us or Sears retailer once thrived to find that they have been usurped by demonic animatronic creatures, walls of masks and costumes, and orange and black everything.

I made it a point to visit the first Spirit Halloween of the season on Friday, Aug. 9 (only ONE day after it just opened) on 71st Street in Tulsa, OK.

I always get a kick out of their displays and was giddy with Halloween glee to find that this location was well stocked and all of their frightening displays were working without a hitch. Keep reading to see some of the sights you can expect at Spirit Halloween stores in 2019!

At Home Halloween 2019 Sneak Peak!

It’s officially five months until the best day ever – Halloween! At Home is making all Halloween obsessed folks happy lately by stocking Halloween decor early – well before all other retailers and just in time to help us Halloween heads have something to look forward to during the sweltering summer months.

I ventured over to my local At Home this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to find several aisles full of Halloween joy. My absolute favorite find are these positively ghoulish skeleton gnomes. I collect gnomes, and once I saw these little guys I knew my collection would not be complete without them.

Keep reading if you’d like to see some snapshots of what you might be seeing at your local At Home store soon! Happy Haunting!
