I’ve got a festive fun game for you and your kiddos to play this spooky season!
It’s a ghost hunt! It’s simple fun and easy and will help your little ones get into the Halloween spirit.

Find some decent phantom shaped stones out in nature and paint them with your kids. Using acrylic paint seems to adhere better than kids project paint based on our experience….we tried project paint and it wasn’t doing the trick, so we had to repaint ours with white acrylic paint.
Once they have dried completely, use a black permanent market or black paint to give your ghosties some spooktacular expressions.

Once your ghost team is assembled, it’s time to hide them and hunt for them! This activity can be done inside or outside and is essentially hide-and-seek but using ghost rocks.

We played our game at the neighborhood playground because it allowed us to find lots of good books and crannies to hide the ghosts and the kids had fun climbing to search for these friendly spirit stones.
I hope this game inspires you to put together a ghost hunt with your tots this fall!
Stay spooky,
Callie Jo
