Pumpkin Name Puzzle for Kids

If you’ve got some orange construction paper and a writing utensil laying around, you can create this simple fun pumpkin name puzzle for your little one this fall!

This is a great activity to whip up quickly that’ll help your tot recognize the letters in their name.

For this activity, trace the outline of a large pumpkin on orange paper.

Next, spell your child’s name, but be sure to leave space to sketch the grooves of the pumpkin which you will cut out for your child to arrange. See the photos below for an example!

You can play with the puzzle like this, or even take it one step further and have your little one use glue to paste the pieces together onto another sheet of paper.

Be sure to count the letters in your Childs name together and identify each one and the sound those letters make! This fun way to help your child learn their name while also working on letter recognition skills – plus you’ll have fun together with this fall themed game, it won’t even feel like a lesson – playing plus Halloween themes always makes learning more SPOOKTACULAR! 🙂

Stay spooky,

Callie Jo
